Lauryn Hill (born 25.5.1975) Lauryn Hill is an American singer and songwriter who initially rose to fame as a member of the group The Fugees.
Childhood: Lauryn Hill was born and raised in South Orange, New Jersey, in the USA.
Her mother, Valerie, was an English teacher and her father Mal was a computer programmer.
