Divya Om Prakash Bharti was born on February 25, 1974, in Mumbai, India.
She started her professional career in 1990 with the Telugu drama film 'Bobbili Raja' alongside Brahmanandam. After several successful films, Bharti received an invitation to star in the Hindi film 'Vishwatma' in 1992, where her song 'Saat Samundar Paar' brought her immense fame.
